Vitamin D and how it can benefit pre diabetics

Given the potential risks implied in having a pre diabetes condition, care and mindful notice over what one eats is a must for pre diabetics, in veering the potential onset of diabetes from becoming.

For those with pre diabetes, a recently conducted observational study is revealed to suggest how higher levels of vitamin D can keep diabetes conditions from compounding, showing benefits from the introduction of high serum vitamin D.

Led by Anastassios Pittas, MD of Tufts Medical Center, Boston, the study worked with the records of 1,022 pre diabetics (the placebo group) and 1,017 pre diabetics who are part of the Diabetes Prevention Program.

The study suggests a 20 to 30% less likely chance in developing Type 2 Diabetes for those who had 25-hydroxyvitamin d introduced into their systems. Factors such as lifestyle changes were also considered in analyzing data results.

In a nutshell, the study is inclined to suggest that the repeated administration of higher plasma 25-hydroxyvitamin D can be associated with lesser incidence of high-risk for diabetes persons.

This is, of course, matched with certain lifestyle changes geared in normalizing blood sugar levels from pre diabetic blood sugar figures.

As the dangers of diabetes is one that isn’t just a threat to one’s capacity to live a normal life, the cost of maintaining a diabetes condition is no joking matter too.

With pre diabetes being a precursor prior to the onset of Type 2 Diabetes, efforts in normalizing constitutions is a top priority for pre diabetics, and research related to reducing the risks of compounded pre diabetes cases are deemed important.

The most recent study, indicates a promising direction over how pre diabetics can stay pre diabetes and diabetes free.
